Ezhuvanthala is a small village in Nellaya Panchayat of Palakkad district in the state of Kerala in India. The main occupation of Ezhuvanthala is agriculture. It is well connected with public transport facilities. Hindus and Muslim community contributes a majority of the population. Christian community have very little presence in this village. The major festival in this area is Anjam vela .people belonging to all communities will participate in this festival.Ezhuvanthala is also famous for its nature beauty.major sceneries like mountains,paddy fields etc..puts Ezhuvanthala village a beautiful one.

Ezhuvanthala is in Nellaya Panchayat. There are a lot of things to say about our village. One of those is about ‘Peruvazhippura’. It is under a big banyantree. There is a cot and a thing which is used to place luggage (Athani) , both made of stones. It is a place for take rest for the people who travel long distances by walk. So the peruvazhippura had got its name. People who were tired by journey was get drinking water from there. So people used to call it as ‘Thanneer Panthal’. So people can take rest in the and drink water Peruvazhippura from “Thaneerpanthal’ . But now, people travel by vehicles and nobody take rest in the Peruvazhipura. And it became a story. Although it was usual in olden days, now it became a rare thing. Eventhough, this Peruvazhipura is maintaining without any damage. Ref: http://eeamlpschool.org

STORY BEHIND THE NAME EZHUVANTHALA The rulers of Eranadu used to visit Sri rama temple near Karimbuzha via Mulayankavu. Members of seven prominent families in ezhuvanthala were assigned to escort these rulers during their journey to this temple. Mooppath, Kurupanmar, Adukurussikalarikkal, Battithotti, Thotukatukar, Chitody achan, Karalapatta amman those were the families who used to escort the rulers. The king used to call this place containing these seven families as ' EZHU VAN THALAS ' which means seven big clans .This later came to be known as  EZHUVANTHALA .
